ఎంతో విశిష్టత, ఎన్నో ప్రయోజనాలు కల్గినగోవు నేడు మన అజ్ఞానకారణంగా ఎంతో ప్రమాదంలో పడింది. ‘మృత్యుగృహ ద్వారంవద్ద గోవు నిలబడి ఉంది. దాన్ని రక్షించగలమో లేదో కానీ గోవుతోబాటు మనము, మన సభ్యత నష్టపోవటం మటుకు ఖాయం అన్నారు గాంధీజీ. నిజంగానే మనం గోవును రక్షించలేకపోతూ అన్నివిధాలా నష్టపోతున్నాం. ఈస్టిండియాకంపెనీ వారు హిందూరాజులతోది సంధిపత్రాలలో ‘గోవధ చేయము’ అనే షరతు స్పష్టంగా వ్రాశారు. కానీ గోవధ ప్రారంభించటంతో 1857 ప్రధమ స్వాతంత్ర్యసంగ్రామం తరువాత బ్రిటీష్ ప్రభుత్వం ‘భారతదేశాన్ని స్థిరంగా నిలబెడుతున్న విశేషా లేమిటో తెలిసికొని వాటికి విరుగుడు సూచించా’లని ఒక కమిటీని వేసింది. అది తన రిపోర్టులో 1. ధార్మికత్వం, 2. సమాజంలోని పంచాయతీ వ్యవస్థ 3. గోవు కేంద్రంగా ఉన్న వ్యవస్థ అని మూడు కారణాలు తేల్చింది.

ఒకప్పుడు ఈ దేశంలో శైవమతం, వైష్ణవమతాల మధ్య భయంకరమయిన యుద్ధాలు జరిగాయి. ఆ ద్వేషభావాన్ని తొలగించటానికి మహనీయులెందరో యత్నించారు.

శివాయ విష్ణురూపాయ, శివరూపాయ విష్ణవే,
శివస్య హృదయం విష్ణుః, విష్ణో శ్చ హృదయం శివః
‘యధా శివమయో విష్ణుః, ఏవం విష్ణుమయ శ్శివః’ అనే సూక్తిని ఎలుగెత్తి చాటారు. అంటే విష్ణుస్వరూపుడైన శివుడికీ, శివస్వరూపుడయిన విష్ణువుకూ నమస్కరిస్తున్నాననీ; శివస్వరూపుడయిన విష్ణువూ, విష్ణువు హృదయమే శివుడూ అని; విష్ణువు శివమయుడని, అట్లే శివుడు విష్ణువుతో నిండినవాడని అర్థం. వారిమధ్య భేదం చూడనంత వరకే మనకు మేలని కూడా చెప్పబడింది.

7. Greatness of Hindutva : Let us observe how great is the Hindu religion. Purification of Hindus commences from even while the baby is in mother’s womb. Even ‘ Garbadhanam ‘ (first coitus of couple) which is the reason for conception is also a great samskara( purification ceremory) and not other wise. Like wise even after death also, this purification process continues in the form of obsequies or death rites. This way not only the sixteen types of ‘ Samskarams’ but also various other things like vratams, rituals, fastings, charity and donations, hospitality to guests, good traditions, protection of destitues, taking care of people in difficulties and giving protection to refugees, are all the ones which purify human life.

గోమాత

గోవు వలన ప్రయోజనాలుః ఆవు మనకు అనేక విధాల ప్రయోజనకారి.
ఆవుపాలుః పసిపిల్లలకు తల్లిపాలు అమృతసమాలు. తల్లిపాల తరువాత వారికి శ్రేష్టమైనవి ఆవుపాలే. తల్లిపాలు కొరవడిన పిల్లలకు ఆవుపాలు పట్టటమే సర్వవిధాల శ్రేయస్కరం. పసితనం దాటినా అట్టి తల్లిపాల అమృతఫలాన్ని అన్ని విధాలా పొందగల్గుటకు మార్గం గోమాతపాలు త్రాగటమే. కాబట్టే ‘గావః విశ్వస్య మాతరః’ గోవులు ప్రపంచజను లందరకూ తల్లులు అని వేదం చెప్పింది. ‘దేని లాభాలు లెక్కించలేమో అది గోవు’ అని యజుర్వేదం చెప్పింది. తల్లిపాలలోని గుణాలు, ఇంకా విశిష్టగుణాలుకూడా ఆవుపాలలో ఉన్నాయి. అందుకే పిల్ల, పెద్దలందరకూ అవి స్వీకరింపదగినవి. ఆవుపాలు సమశీతోష్ణంగా ఉంటాయి. మధురంగా ఉంటాయి.

In fact the word ‘Hindu’ refers to dharma only and is not a religion. Like wise Buddism and others are only religions and not dharma. They might have propounded some permanent dharmas. One of the features of a religion is to have a religious book. ‘Tripeetakas’ for Buddism, ‘Bible’ for Christianity and ‘Khuran’ for Islam are the religious books. This way for a religion to have one prophet and one book is the main feature. There is no person like ‘Hindu’ for Hindu to become a religion. It is not a dharma told by a prophet called Hindu, as in the case of Christ and Mohammed. So Hindu is not a religion. Like wise there is no religious book for the Hindu religion.

This word ‘ Hindu––_’ has got the capacity to rise the community form sleep. That is why the forces which are inimical to us think of doing some thing which makes us not to use that word. Whoever helps such forces would become the one doing us harm. For a patriot ‘Vandemataram’ is very inspiring and encourages lone for country. Like wise this word ‘ Hindu’ is also inspiring to this community from the historical times and encouraging to do dharma.

Nagative Criticisms: There are some among our scholors who have commented adversely about the word ‘Hindu’, simply because the other scholors who are not friendly to them, are saying high about that word and so they have to condemn such good comments. What are we to say about their suicidal jealousy towards other scholors? These scholors have commented in such a way as to bring bad name to their own Hindu dharma,

ఇలాగే యజుర్వేదం (23-48) లో ‘బ్రహ్మా సూర్యసమం జ్యోతిః’ మంత్రంలో ‘గోస్తు మాత్రా న విద్యతే’ అని గోవునకు సమమైనది లేదని తెలుపబడింది. ‘గాం సీమాహిం రదితం విరాజమ్’ అని గోహింసను నిషేధిస్తోంది. ‘అంతకాయ గోఘాతమ్’ అని గోహంతకులను హతమార్చ మనికూడా యజుర్వేదం చెప్పింది. గోవధ అంతటి పాపమని గ్రహించాలి. అంతేకాదు ‘క్షుధేయాగాం విక్రేతం తం భిక్షమాణ ఉదితిష్టాశినమ్’ ని వేదం గోహంతకుడు భిక్షకై వచ్చినా భిక్ష పెట్టవద్దని, వానికి మరణమే శిక్ష ని చెప్తోంది.

Know the foreign conspiracy:Vivekananda says that a Hindu is the one who gets “infinite inspiration and whose whole body gets electrified, the moment the sound “Hindu” reaches his ears. That way the word ‘Hindu’ is very holy and infinitely powerful. Since that word enables the Hindus to become self-respecting people, which would be to the disadvantage of foreign religions, the foreign and people of other religions have tried hard and also are trying hard to keep that word in the background. Some people who are devoid of self-respect are falling in their trap. As part of that evil strategy, they have started publicity that the word ‘Hindu’ has got a bad meaning in other languages. Unable to understand their plot some people are falling prey to their line of thinking. Some people have become ready to say for the satisfaction of others, that it is enough if we think ourselves as ‘Bharateeya’ instead of Hindus. But the word ‘Bharateeya’ which says ‘India that is Bharat’,
